Originally released in 2001 during then-creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s tenure, the City was previously known as the Motorcycle City Bag and became one of the fashion house’s most coveted designs.
Ironically, the handbag’s appeal lay exactly in its logo-less, relaxed and unstructured silhouette, and there was hardly a Noughties It girl that wasn’t carrying one everywhere. Moss wore hers religiously, as did the Olsen twins and Nicole Richie.
This is the classic City bag style in Brogues – introduced in 2011 this addition features leather covered hardware with a decorative perforation pattern to the leather, known as ‘broguing’.
Crafted from a super soft pink Agneau (lambskin) leather, silver hardware and lined with a black cotton lining.
This bag still has the original mirror plus the longer shoulder strap.
Made in Italy. Overall good vintage condition, with some wear to the base corners and leather covering the rivets.
